The Idaho Food Safety Exam consists of 40 multiple-choice and true or false questions. Answering 75% of the questions correctly is required for a passing score. Each attempt has a time limit of 45 minutes. The exam allows an unlimited number of attempts; each attempt will provide a different set of questions from content in the Food Safety Manual. After successfully completing the Idaho Food Safety Exam, your certificate will be provided to save as .PDF or print. It will remain on file with your account and valid for 5 years.
The Temporary Food Establishment Exam consists of 24 multiple-choice and true or false questions. Answering 75% of the questions correctly is required for a passing score. Each attempt has a time limit of 30 minutes. The exam allows an unlimited number of attempts; each attempt will provide a different set of questions from content in the Temporary Food Establishment Manual. After completing the Temporary Food Establishment Exam, the certificate is valid through the end of the current calendar year and will expire on December 31.
